Examiner Criteria

Each Project Supervisor for students enrolled in MSTM 4100/4200 is responsible for for recommending and/or recruiting ONE external technical Examiner. An Examiner is responsible for grading a student’s final Project Report, which will be submitted at the end of MSTM 4200.

The Examiner must have:

1. an appropriate level of education. All Examiners must have a minimum of an undergraduate degree.
2. appropriate knowledge and experience about the project topic area.

The Examiner is preferably from Industry but may be someone from a post-secondary institution. Please see Examiner Role for more information.

Each Project Supervisor should submit the following information about the recruited Examiner to the Coordinator of Advanced Programs. This information should be submitted by Friday of Week 14 of the MSTM 4100 course.

Examiner Information:

• name
• title/position held
• pertinent academic background (BSc, BTech, MSc, etc)
• company name, mailing address and telephone number
• email address
