The Role of the Marine Institute Instructor

The Marine Institute will provide online and/or in-class support while students are completing the various components of MSTM 4100/4200. The assigned facilitator will:

1. Facilitate/monitor student progress throughout the course.
2. Provide assistance in understanding the course structure.
3. Consult with students as necessary regarding the choice of a project supervisor.
4. Notify students regarding the approval of the project concept and Concept Paper, and provide feedback as appropriate.
5. Provide guidance and advice to students throughout the MSTM 4100/4200 course.
6. Review and grade students' Concept Paper, and in conjunction with the Technical Supervisor, the student's Annotated Bibliography and Proposal.
7. Review the project report from MSTM 4200 and provide a portion of the final grade of the report.
