  • Description of Project and Results Achieved:
    Goal of the Project:
    To establish a long term and sustainable training and education programme to strengthen and support the artisanal fishing of Guyana.

    Objectives:
  • To design and deliver training in the area of organization and management which will improve the operations of each of the fourteen fisheries co-ops of Guyana and the boat building operations.
  • To provide training to improve the efficiency of fishermen in the area of quality control, processing, and marketing.
  • To provide technical training to fishermen to improve their harvesting capability through more efficient boats and engines and better catching methods.
