  1. How do I apply for the Post Graduate Certificate in Quality Management program?

    There are several ways in which you can apply to the Marine Institute for our Post Graduate Certificate, Advanced Diploma, Diploma of Technology, Technician Diploma and Vocational Certificate programmes. Please check the admission requirements first for the programme for which you are applying.

    We are now pleased to offer you the opportunity to apply online or to download our Application Form in pdf format. Both are fast, easy and convenient.

    If you use the online method, please read instructions carefully as you proceed through the application.

    If you are going to Download our Application Form in PDF format, print a hard copy of the Application and mail to the address provided on the application form, or deliver it in person to the Registrar's Office. Applicants for Technical Certificate programmes may also use this application form.

  2. What is the cost of the program?

    The tuition is $550.00/course for Canadian students and $715.00/course for international students.

  3. How many courses do I have to complete to get my Post Graduate Certificate in Quality Management?

    The program consists of four courses, one core and three electives.

  4. Is there any order in which I must complete the courses?

    There is no specific order, however you are advised to complete the MIPG 4100M Quality Management course first.

  5. How long will it take to complete the program?

    Students are free to complete the online program at their own speed. It is possible for a student with full time employment to complete the four courses in one calendar year.

  6. How do I find out if I can obtain credit for similar courses that I have previously completed?

    Specific questions reqarding course equivalency will be handled by the Registrar's Office (709-778-0380) at the Marine Institute.

    There is no time restriction on completing the course requirements for the post graduate program.

  9. Does the Post Graduate Certificate in Quality Management program have a residency requirement?

    No. You are not required to physically come to the Memorial University and study for any length of time. The program is fully available online.
