Office of Research
The Office of Research and Development is responsible for the planning, organizing and promoting the growth of research and development activities at the Marine Institute.
The Office:
- develops and implements the Institute’s Research and Development Strategic Plan
- acts a liaison between specialized centres of the Marine Institute and with Memorial University researchers
- Engages students in research
- Identifies research opportunities in the marine sectors
- Accesses major sources of research funding
- Identifies and attracts highly qualified people and resources
- Promotes the Institute’s research and development capabilities and capacity
