Since opening our doors in 1964, MI has worked closely with industry to answer questions that advance how we work on (and in) our oceans. Today MI is a multi-million dollar research enterprise with the experience and expertise to advance your organization’s knowledge in the areas of: Fisheries, Maritime Operations, Ocean Safety and Ocean Technology.

Our unique structure as an institute within a university allows us to work with industry in a way that makes sense for both the partner and the project. From short engagements to multi-year, multi-funder projects, MI has the ability to scale up or down depending on the breadth and depth of the question.
