There are inherent dangers working and playing on the ocean. Despite best efforts to ensure a safe environment there will be times when the unthinkable‌ happens and survival, rescue and recovery become paramount.

Researchers at the Offshore Safety and Survival Centre use state of the art facilities and equipment to examine the human factors involved in training for and surviving an accident.

Researchers also work closely with other research and industry partners to answer a wide variety of questions around surviving an incident in the ocean.
