Cybersecurity has become a critical concern across all facets of the maritime industry. The coexistence of multiple control systems, protocols, and standards—onshore and offshore—often operating in isolation, creates significant gaps in system resiliency. These vulnerabilities are further compounded by the rise of autonomous technologies and the shift toward remote operations.

To address these challenges, the Fisheries and Marine Institute is once again hosting a seminar aimed at raising awareness among Canadian marine stakeholders. The event will highlight the growing risks of maritime cybersecurity and explore practical ways to mitigate them through collaboration in training, research, and industrial response.
