Marine Institute RSS Feeds

To view and subscribe to the RSS feeds of the Marine Institute's news, events or cancellations, you will need to add an RSS Feed Reader, either as a browser extension or a app that will have to be manually configured.

Desktop (PC)

For desktop users, Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Opera offer multiple extensions that are easily installed and configured.

Chrome: In a new browser tab, go to the 'Apps' link at the top right of the browser. Click 'Web Store'. Type 'RSS Reader' in the search. Click 'Add to Chrome'. One installed, you can add the URLs for the desired feeds.

Firefox: In a new browser tab, click the gear icon at the top right of the browser. Click the 'Extensions and Themes' link at the bottom left. Type 'RSS Reader' in the search. Click the one you want to install. Click 'Add to Firefox'. One installed, you can add the URLs for the desired feeds.

Microsoft Edge: Edge does not support RSS readers, but there are many options available in the Microsoft Store. As with other browsers, you will have to manually add the desired URLs.

Internet Explorer: As IE is an older browser, you will not need to add a separate extension. Clicking on the RSS logo of any of the MI feeds will open the page of the particular feed, with an option to subscribe.

Desktop (Mac)

Safari: Open the website you want to subscribe to. Click the RSS icon on the website. Click the Sidebar button. This will expand the bookmarks, reading, and shared links menus. Click the @ symbol tab and then click Subscriptions at the bottom. Click Add Feed. Click Done.

Mobile

For mobile users, it is recommended that you install a separate app and add the MI feeds manually.
