Welcome to the Marine Institute Start Up page. MI Start Up is the place for new and returning students to access all the information needed for this upcoming Fall semester. Our faculty and staff are so excited to welcome students back to campus and we look forward to seeing you at Orientation on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 from 9:00AM to 3:30PM. When you arrive, you can enter through the main entrance where you will be greeted by the Student Union, volunteers, and MI staff.
The School of Graduate Studies invites St. John's and the Marine institute Graduate students to attend their orientation on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in the Innovation Hall (IIC-2001) at the Bruneau Centre for Research and Innovation, from 8:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. As a part of our MI welcome, the Marine Institute Graduate Society (MIGS) and the Academic and Student Affairs department (ASA) invites MI Graduate students to meet with them on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 10:30am-12pm on our Ridge Road campus @MI Conference centre to kick start a campus tour, program chairs meet and greet, and swag pick up.
If this is your student’s first year at the Marine Institute, you are invited to the Parent and Supporter Orientation happening at our Ridge Road campus on Monday, September 2nd, 2024 from 10:00AM to 12:30PM.
The Fire Rescue orientation will be on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 starting 9:00AM. This orientation is mandatory for all fire rescue students. If you have any questions or require more information, please contact Janice Murphy at Janice.Murphy@mi.mun.ca.
