Our Student Recruitment Office is your first point of contact to find out more about the Marine Institute.
Registration begins online (7:00 P.M.) - Fall term for diploma of technology, diploma, advanced diploma, post-graduate certificate and technical certificate programs.
Students who have been accepted and conditionally accepted into programs requiring the submission of medicals and/or letters of conduct will not be permitted to register for classes unless satisfactory copies of the required medicals and/or letter of conduct have been received by the Registrar's Office
It’s graduation time at the Fisheries and Marine Institute (MI) of Memorial University. The ceremony will be broadcast live on www.mi.mun.ca beginning at 2 p.m. (NDT) ) on Friday, June 24 and archived on the Marine Institute's YouTube channel for future viewing
Students will be receiving diplomas and certificates during the 2022 graduation ceremony scheduled for Friday, June 24.
The event will take place at 2 p.m. in the gymnasium of MI’s Ridge Road campus in St. John’s.
The ceremony will include remarks from: the Honourable Tom Osborne, minister of education, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador; Dr. Vianne Timmons, president and vice-chancellor, Memorial University; Dr. Rob Shea, vice-president, Memorial University (Marine Institute); and Nathan Mullins, student speaker who is graduating from the nautical science program.
During Memorial’s recent spring convocation, 92 bachelor’s and master’s degrees were presented to Marine Institute graduates.
As part of MI’s graduation celebration activities, students, friends and family are invited to share their graduation congratulations, photos and special moments via social media using the hashtag #MIgrad2022. You can join the celebration on the Marine Institute’s social media channels: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
