MI opens new writing centre

Students, need help with your writing? MI is opening its doors to the new academic writing centre on Monday, September 26

Located in the group study room of the library, the writing centre will provide students with both one-on-one and group tutoring related to aspects of their courses, such as essays, reports, outlines, proposals, letters, and more.

A Communications Skills instructor will be available to help students build upon and improve their writing skills, teach approaches for grammar, sentence/paragraph structure, paraphrasing, researching, and documenting. The group study room will be equipped with both hardcopy resources and a full computer workstation with wall-mounted screen for use of visuals.

The writing centre will initially operate on an appointment basis, 1-4pm (subject to change as semester unfolds), Monday to Thursday.
