The 11th annual Newfoundland and Labrador Oil and Gas Week celebrations were officially launched during a ceremony at the Fisheries and Marine Institute (MI) of Memorial University of Newfoundland on February 25.

The audience, comprised of students, oil and gas industry leaders and government representatives, heard about career opportunities in the industry and the impact the industry is having on this province.

"Hosting the 11th annual Oil & Gas Week launch event is an honour for the Marine Institute," said Glenn Blackwood, vice-president, Memorial University (Marine Institute).
