The program provides the knowledge and practical skills necessary to address the challenges associated with ensuring the safety and integrity of the food supply. It provides an understanding of food safety principles and experience in HACCP (hazard analysis critical control points) systems and PCPs (preventative control plans), as well as comprehension of food safety laws, regulations, and compliance requirements for maintaining high standards of food safety.
Through comprehensive coursework and practical, hands-on experience, develop the skills needed to create safer food systems. A 13-week work term will enhance these skills by providing valuable experience to become an asset to the food industry and associated regulatory agencies.
Visit the Marine Institute Academic Calendar for complete program structure and course details.
