Refresher Training Course in Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats (REF-FRB)

Prerequisites

1)  a person must be of at least 16 years of age to take the REF FRB  course.
2)  a person must hold a training certificate in MED with respect to Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats (FRB) (or equivalent) to take the REF FRB  course.
3)  Marine Institute approved medical clearance.  

Course Description

This refresher training course is designed to comply with the regulations and to refresh the seafarers’ skills to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities necessary to participate as members of Fast Rescue Boat in accordance with Chapter VI, Section A-VI/2 of the STCW Convention, including 2010 Manila Amendments.
