Certificate of Achievement

Candidates will be recommended by Marine Atlantic.

This Quartermaster Management course comprises resource management and the steering of simulated ships, including errors and fault in command and in steering gear.

The student will be able to:

• Apply bridge resource management concepts and procedures as related to the duties of a Quartermaster
• Receive and respond to standard helm orders when steering the ship using a closed-loop communication model
• Demonstrate the appropriate confidence level for a Quartermaster and provide appropriate navigation support for other members of the bridge team
