Course Description

This is an entry-level course design to provide students with the information and skills necessary to perform the function of Fire Watch and fire prevention duties.

Course Outline

  • To provide participants with an awareness of the fire hazards associated with industrial sites.
  • To provide participants with an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of persons assigned to Fire Watch activities.
  • To provide training on the use of portable fire extinguishers.
  • To provide training on the application of fire streams in making safe hot work areas.
