Certificate of Achievement Note:  NFPA 1006 Technical Rescuer Rope Rescue Level II Certification Testing Available Upon Request

Prerequisites

High School Graduation;
Firefighter 1 or Basic Firefighting Certificate;
Emergency Medical Responder (40 hours) and/or Equivalent;
Marine Institute Approved Medical Clearance;
Technical Rescuer - Rope Rescue Level I
NOTE:  NFPA 1006 Technical Rescuer Rope Rescue Level II Certification Testing Pre-Requisites (as outline by Fire and Emergency Services NL):
Successful completion of NFPA 1006, Rescue Technician – Core
Successful completion of NFPA 1006, Rescue Technician - Rope Rescue Level I
Emergency Medical Responder 80 Hour course as provided by St. John Ambulance or Red Cross
Medical Clearance signed by physician only

Course Description

This is a Technical Rescuer Course that introduces the student to both the advanced and practical aspects of Rope Rescue Techniques. This course meets or exceeds National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1006 professional standards, Level II.
