Prerequisites
Must hold a Passenger Safety Management Certificate of endorsement AND be employed aboard ro-ro passenger ships, with responsibility for specific duties including but not limited to loading, discharging or securing cargo, closing hull openings, ensuring passenger safety in emergency situations, assisting in embarking or disembarking passengers.
Mask Requirement Update
Non-medical masks are mandatory for all faculty, staff, students and visitors at the Marine Institute. These must be worn in public spaces and common areas or any time a two-metre physical distance cannot be maintained.
COVID-19 Vaccinations
In line with Memorial University’s vaccine policy, the Marine Institute campus is implementing a vaccine policy for all industrial clients accessing a Marine Institute campus for training courses. All industry clients will be required to upload their vaccination status prior to starting a course. This process is not time consuming and is a requirement to be on campus. Course Description
This course is designed to meet the mandatory minimum requirements for the training of personnel aboard ro-ro passenger ships. It meets STCW 95 Regulations V/2 and detailed in Section A-V/2 of the mandatory code A., as appropriate.
