Course Description

This course is for ships personnel who have limited knowledge of towing and emergency towing onboard towing vessels.

Course Outline

  • Provide students with the knowledge and skills to plan and develop a risk assessment for emergency towing operations.
  • Provide students with knowledge of winch operations, functions, and layout.
  • Provide students with knowledge of the use of shark jaws, Karm forks, and deck equipment.
  • Provide students with experience in planning and completing towing operations.
  • Practice teamwork and communication skills.
