DNVGL approved Dynamic Positioning Certificate with notation AJ/DPA-WV or Offshore Loading Phase 2 or Nautical Institute Dynamic Positioning Certificate
This course is designed as a refresher course for ships officers working on shuttle tankers. Along with learning from the experiences of colleagues, the student will achieve optimal skills and understanding on how to handle a shuttle tanker in DP mode. The course repeats elements from Offshore Loading Phase 2 course. The course participants will also be introduced to any new developments within DP such as reference systems, software versions, new loading concepts, updated procedures, etc. This course will also prepare DPOs holding DNV GL approved DP certificates (notation AJ/DPA-WV) to undertake the re-assessment component of the required 5 year re-certification process.
