Our Student Recruitment Office is your first point of contact to find out more about the Marine Institute.
Registration begins online (7:00 P.M.) - Fall term for diploma of technology, diploma, advanced diploma, post-graduate certificate and technical certificate programs.
Students who have been accepted and conditionally accepted into programs requiring the submission of medicals and/or letters of conduct will not be permitted to register for classes unless satisfactory copies of the required medicals and/or letter of conduct have been received by the Registrar's Office

Dynamic Positioning - Induction Course; 30 days Dynamic Positioning Sea-time (If initial Induction Course completed prior to January 2015); 60 days DP Sea-time (If initial Induction Course completed after January 2015); Completion of required Nautical Institute Logbook tasks
This course is designed to give the student further training in the operation of Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems for different types of vessels. It will give the student an in-depth understanding of the operation of the DP system. The course will include exercises on a DP simulator that will allow the student to plan and carry out a variety of routine DP operations as well as observe and develop responses to various emergency and failure situations.
