Minimum certification of Watchkeeping Mate STCW/2

Course Description

This course is designed for bridge officers and provides practical experiences in the handling of vessels in offshore operations. The course will provide theory and simulator experience covering offshore ship maneuvering.

Course Outline

  • Provide students with knowledge and skills in planning and risk assessment of offshore ship maneuvering, specifically for vessels equipped with azimuthing propulsion.
  • Offer practical experience in maneuvering offshore vessels with azimuthing propulsion during machinery failures and changing environmental conditions.
  • Provide experience in planning and executing offshore operations.
  • Practice teamwork and communication skills.
